About the Burton Wargames Competition We Have Made Some Changes The Burton DBM Doubles Competition has been highly popular and successful over many Years however change is in the air of ancient wargame rules and we are moving with this breeze. Putting this a little less cryptically; We splitting the competition between the widely played but - lets face it - a bit tired DBM and the new Slytherine / Bodley-Scott Fields of Glory Ancient - Medieval Rules, to be published soon after the event. There are many beta testers out there who were former DBM players and the proximity to the launch will give them and guests the chance to play what is effectively the 'published' version. We are keeping the DBM double competition as well for those who have not had chance to learn FoG or just want one last DBM game for old times sake! The Venue remains the same and so will the friendly ethos that helped make it one of the best ancient competitions in the country. The friendly nature of the competition combined with an excellent venue go to make it an enjoyable weekend whether you win or lose! Burton upon Trent is situated in the English Midlands close to the hub of all major transport systems making it very easy to reach even from overseas.
