Sunday, 17th February
With the arrival of the Sunday morning arrived the traditional wargaming malaise - usually following a previous night of excess. This weekend was no exception. An all you can eat and drink 'curry night' was held by a local brewery. The Old Cottage brewery. Participants were treated to a trip around the brewery as well as plentiful fare by their hosts.
(David Fairhurst and Bob Medcraft using Italian Condotta. David looking contemplative while following another wargaming tradition of - 'who can wear the loudest shirt on Sunday morning'. Hopefully gaining some advantage over his opponent who may be feeling the worse for wear. A psychological ploy - his opponents (Bruce Brown and Darren Roberts) are not taking much truck judging by the general advance over the table.
Bruce and Darren winning by a score of 12-8 in the end

Nik Gaukroger (Anglo Irish) playing Hammy Hamilton and Martin Wilkinson (Medieval Danish). All 'aces faces' from the DBM circuit, now jumping ship to new 'unknown' waters. Hammy (far right) is enjoying it really.
The result was 25-0 in favour of the Danes. The first whitewash of the tournament!!

Dave Ruddock and Tony Robinson (Scots Common) facing Ian Speed and Sylvie Mills (Medieval German). It must be still early as the bar isn't open yet!
10-10 draw

Bob Medcroft and Lynda Fairhurst (out of shot) using Low Countries. Their opponents were Pete Butler and Kevin Ellis (Medieval French)
The result was 18-2 to the Low Country pikemen.
